Today is Tom’s birthday, and this morning was breakfast in bed and massive amounts of cuddling, and now we’re off to see his folks but I wanted to share some photos of the two of us a few Friday’s ago when we had some relaxing alone time at the pool. Did you know both Tom and I were swimmers when we were younger? We spent some time laughing about how we used to be able to swim the length of the pool in one breath, but how we can’t even come close anymore. We swam laps, practiced shallow diving, and treaded water for a while, reminiscing. I like days where our childhoods unexpectedly collide. splash

I am always amazed by people who can take such incredible pictures when the sun is unrelenting (I’m thinking of the photos you took of a hike with some internet photographer friends a few weeks ago). You two are both so beautiful! I can’t get over it!
