Popular The Anniversary Project Thomas & Sara

Our Anniversary Project

Earlier this summer Tom and I had talked about doing a small photography project together. We’d never done one before, Tom is newer to the photography scene, and we all know how much I love projects. We tossed around several ideas, ranging from prompts, double exposure, to black and white, until we fell in love with this one. For our anniversary we’ve decided to do a portrait project, with the hope of creating a small book for ourselves (and our coffee table) when we’re done. It’s something we hope to share with our (maybe someday) children or grand children.

Now I only have a few sets to share with you this week because it’s our anniversary and Canadian Thanksgiving weekend all wrapped up into one- and we’ve just not had the time to pick our favorite pictures and edit them just yet. I hope you enjoy this project as much as we’re enjoying creating it. (Try and see if you can figure out the rules we’ve set! They’re easy!)

Oh gosh I love this project!
I’d like to do something similar, but my boyfriend hates being in front of the camera and never wants me to take photos of him.
I’m doomed to do only solo portraits :'(

Hope things are winding down a little and you’re getting some rest. Seems like you’ve been so busy this past summer we hardly heard from you at all! Need more Sara posts 😉

Thanks! I’m definitely looking forward to sharing more of it. I also find myself thinking, why didn’t I think of this sooner?! I can’t wait to have it on our coffee table.

Things were really busy this summer, but I like to think this year taught me what my limits are and that it’s okay to not be booked solid all the time. This year has BLOWN by. I can’t believe it’s October already!

Oh my goodness, thank you! I struggled so much in posting that photo actually because I thought I looked ridiculous. Unfortunately one of the rules is (oops, I don’t think I’m supposed to share the rules yet!) that we get to pick the photos of each other so… whelp!

But thank you, I really appreciate you saying so. =)

lovely idea… what I see is that one of you is always looking at the other, either through the camera lens or right on the page here looking at the photo nextdoor. Happy Anniversary and Thanksgiving!

You’re right! One of the rules is that we’re always connected in some way, either by looking at each other or sitting “beside” each other.

Yep! We have to be connected somehow and they have to match. Either we’re looking at each othe or we’re side by side or touching each other in some way. =)
