Dining Out

Bloomin’ Tea & Hot Pot at Zen Gardens

Since going vegan two months ago, Tom’s dad, his wife, Tom and I have been dining frequently at our favorite (now mutually so) veggie restaurant Zen Gardens. At our most recent visit (okay, there may have been a visit after this one) we decided to try a hot pot. It was our fist time, and boy was it delicious. A perfect way to fight off the bitter howling winds outside.

Gaah! Looks delicious! And congratulations for being Vegan! I’ve been Vegan for about 4/5 years now and it’s been amazing. It’s super hard to find a Vegan/Vegetarian place to eat here so these pictures really made my night. Nom nom nom!

Yum! ! Looove hotpots and the communal warmth of eating them together with close friends/family 🙂 Can you guess what flavours they used in the broth, like what those little brown floating things are?

Hot pots are THE BEST! There’s a hot pot buffet here in Portland that isn’t vegan, but is AMAZING and you should definitely check it out when you come visit. *cough!* 😉
