Rosemary (Terry’s mother) has this in her backyard, along with a few other things as well. She opens the library for people to gather and borrow books (some of them are over 100 years old.)

So delightful!

These last two are from “the museum”, which is again in Rosemary’s backyard. (For those of you who have seen the movie Jewel, you’ve seen Rosemary’s house! Inside and out!) Inside Rosemary’s museum is a collection of photographs and history from the town she’s been collecting since she was a little girl.

If you are ever in the area, be sure to stop by! Both Rosemary and Terry are super nice and love giving tours!

Brings back great memories, grew up in the village with Terry and his brother Bob and sister Robin, those were the best of times it seems like yesterday but it was a lot longer than that, I hope to get back there soon for a visit.

i’ve been through a journey today.
from what was just a day for location scouting — it turned into something amazing.

my friend and i had just met terry a mere half hour ago, and he has substantially opened my eyes to a new world. i live at the intersection of mavis and derry, and for all these years i never knew something so tresured and amazing would be just across the street.

meeting terry was a treat. i should thank him, he left me asking for more which led me to this blog after a brief google search of the township.

let’s just say, today was a good day.
p.s. forgive me, my thoughts are all over the place.

I visited the miniature village this weekend in hopes of finding out some information about my mother and grandparents (all deceased) who lived in Meadowvale village for about 20 years. Turns out Terry’s mother Rosemary and my mother grew up together and were good friends. Your photo’s are beautiful, thank you for sharing ……………
