I love her drawings! I really wish I had a sister and someone to write to like that on a regular basis. I write my best friend letters and send her post cards every now and then (she lived in Oklahoma), but I never get anything back. I had a few pen pals a few years ago, and one of them used to doodle all over everything, too, as did I, but the whole wedding and college thing got in the way and we’ve lost touch. Maybe I should dig out their old letters and try to send them something. I do miss personalized mail, rather than just junk and bills. One of my favorite things in the world is getting a letter from someone. I don’t know what it is about it that just makes my day. =]

Those are lovely! And wow, she does have the most beautiful penmanship. Moving all over the world was great for my friend and I–for the first couple years we wrote each other often, but now my letters usually aren’t answered (which I cite to their being so busy with school). I hope you two keeps these up for a long time; they’ll make such wonderful mementos!

I remember writing my sister at camp. At the time, the most important thing was the growth of her Tamagotchi which I was caring for. So I’d draw her little Tamagotchi.
