So I suppose you lovelies would like the skinny on meeting Bronwyn in real life, hmm?
Bronwyn has, I think, six rats total? I thought I had taken more pictures of the others but I guess I got distracted while we were talking. =/
But I got to meet Islay and Alice, both delightfully friendly. I know Tom was worried it would make me homesick for my cats too badly, but I think I did all right.
Her bedroom walls are SO beautiful! When we walked in I was very excited to snap some photos. I tried to be as un-creepy as possible but I couldn’t help myself. Everything is so intricate!B said she was envious of her sister’s room when she was little, and I agreed I would be too. Who wouldn’t want fairies painted on their wall?
Tom and I brought over things to make a casserole. Our hope was that we could leave it with Bronwyn during the remainder of her stay at the farm alone. But we sort of… ate a lot more than we thought we would.
B wrote an amazing entry about the meet up and how she feels about the photos I took of her and I’ll admit, I was a ball of weepy wailing while reading it. She expressed a lot of how I feel/felt about myself too. The photos she took of me, I look so happy and it just startled me. Not to mention Tom and I don’t have a lot of pictures of us that other people take and so that was nice to see us walking (in step each time, haha) and making dinner together.
Enjoy the gallery- it has the collective photos from both B and I!
Okay, from the top.
It was pissing rain the day off, and I was pretty bummed about that. I love my rain, don’t get me wrong, but it had been gloomy all week, and sunny the day before, so I was hopeful that it would be sunny so we could go for a walk around her property. But, we got up, showered, and spent our morning in the kitchen making apple cinnamon cupcakes to take over with us.
We left around noon, I think? And it was absolutely a breeze getting there. And it wasn’t as far as we thought so it will make future visits easier. (Of which there will be lots!) When we got there she gave us a tour of the house, which is BEAUTIFUL. I don’t know how she doesn’t roam around taking pictures of the house all day. SO BEAUTIFUL. It was so strange, I could go around and point out where she had done LATU videos. It was so surreal seeing these places in real life.
After the tour THE SUN CAME OUT. YES. So we went for a walk around a small bit of the property, there is sooo much, too much to cover in one go. It was windy, but still warm and it felt so good to get out and enjoy nature for a while. I’ve been cooped up in the house/city area for 4 months. It’s been driving me insane. (She also taught me something new about action shots!)
After said walk we made some dinner together and all chatted a bit and then Tom and I played on the Wii while B and Brendan worked on her homework assignment. I feel badly because she still had us over even though it was the last day of the semester and she had some work to do. Tom and I didn’t mind though, we played Super Mario Party 8 and basically relaxed. It was nice for us to hang out with kids our own age. We spend most of our time together or with Jim and Sandy.
Anyway, this is so long, but I just wanted to say I had a really good time. And though we were both a little nervous, well, hell, all four of us were a little shy and nervous, I am so glad we met. And I can’t wait to hang out again. Tom and I want to have her over for Resident Evil 5 action, and so she can see where we live too. She is just as beautiful, kind, smart, and soft-spoken in real life as she is online.
Everything I imagined she’d be.
She really is a princess in boots.
Muddy ones.
Because she’s an exploring wood elf princess.
The end.
