youknow505

I’ve decided if I’m going to keep a blog, I had better contribute with more than just my simple life. That means sharing stuff about food, photography, recipes, video games, food, and other things I find interesting. To start off I’d like to talk about something I’m really passionate about, and that’s photography.

I recently stumbled across the work of flickr photographer youknow505 and I was startled by how surreal and peaceful her images were. The analog, dream-like and moody images are the “in-thing” right now it seems- but youknow505‘s the real thing. She doesn’t mess around with Photoshop or strain too hard to attain “dreamlike” status by seeking out light flares or vintage dresses. And I love that about her work.

Wowwww. Thank you so so much for posting this. And I agree, there is a certain charm to the naturally derived dream-like photograph, which I’m convinced is a result of superior knowledge about light and shadow as well as having a very long list of secret shooting places!

    GREAT stuff!!

I hate photoshop as well… it gives the images a tone of… well fakeness…

only problem is BECAUSE I work with it on a daily basis I am obliged to say that it is a useful tool…

    A necessary evil… :)

    Well… never mind…

I like them, but I’m so tired of the fascination with skinny girls.

Beautful! I love the effect she creates, my favourite is the taxidermy rabbit.
