Okay, so when I’m taking these photos each day it’s not like I say to myself, “How can I put as little of me as possible into this photo?” It’s more like:
Oh, this is interesting.
(I compose the shot. I am 50% and subject is 50%)
Oh no, that’s too much me and not enough of said interesting subject. Let me just…
(Recompose until I am 15-20%)
Hmm…
(You get the idea.)
And then I look at the photo, love it, and then go on about my day. It’s not until I go to post a digest, see them all together, and realize that it’s mostly pieces (and small ones at that) of me. Sorry about that, I will certainly try harder.
Goodbye Miss, Hello Mrs.
Days two forty eight – two fifty six

Making tea…

… writing letters …

… and playing in the sink!

$2.00 skirt for the summer

I spent all day on wording, fonts, printing and doing the bows for our invitations. It got me a little excited for things to come, I must admit.
Our website (which also took me all day and still isn’t finished quite yet) matches our invitations, which are handmade.

Art hanging on our wall. (And part of my head.)

Gunne sax dress. (And my toes.)

Tom found these HUGE mugs at the store and when he showed me I practically squealed with excitement. This is how it starts right? You start liking tea on occasion, then you find yourself liking it… a lot. Then you find yourself geeking out in the store when you see tea-related things. I think my conversion is almost complete.

OH MY WORD IT’S MY FACE. Behind me is what Tom and I call our “vision board”. We like to put wishlisty things on it, dreams, goals, etc. I still have the 7D up there! (We also have a few photos of cottagey homes in the woods.)
Hi. My name is Sara, I’m twenty-four years old, my favorite color is orange, and I have an overwhelming desire to preserve my life with photos and words.

Thank you so much!! We can’t wait to see everyone in October!
Hi,
I’m not sure if you remember me. We met each other through someone who, I’m sure we’d both rather not mention. I also think Facebook matched us up once or twice as we have friends in common…I just wanted to say that I think your photography and prose are beautiful–and I’m glad I stumbled upon your website.
I wish you all the best,
Caitlin
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/angielaa] Thank you! We ended up doing way more than we thought we would, but I am pretty satisfied with how they turned out!
I am coming to have a deep appreciate for tea and all it does, now that I’ve been in the UK… There is this great shop in the malls in L.A. called Teavana, and they have alllll kinds of PRETTY tea things… and they have loads of free samples. I think I will be paying them a very important visit when I get home to get a proper kettle! I love collecting mugs, too, so I already have a good start on that
Oh my gosh, Tom says the same thing. He says even the loose leaf here just isn’t as good compared to what he had in Ireland. Also also also I LOVE LOVE LOVE mugs. We don’t have a lot of cupboard space so until we move I’ve had to refrain from all the mug collecting I’d be doing otherwise. It’s too bad because I’ve seen some gems out there. I’d love to see your collection some time!
This was probably my least favorite part of doing my wedding. I made my invitations but by the time I got to the end (and I only had to make 20) I was glad to be done. Your invites look so pretty!
I enjoy your 365. It’s beautiful. I will be sad when it’s over.
OMG the wedding invitations! *Squee!* I get done don’t I? I can’t wait! *excited!*
I want a “vision board”!!!
I love your 365 photos, because like everyone else said they are different. You have given yourself a little more creative freedom which makes the photos more interesting:)
I love the photo of the art on your wall and how the background matches the color of your hair.
Also, the band of your ring looks pink in the $2 skirt shot!
… And now I see it too! Oh my, what on earth is it reflecting?
I love your 365 exactly for the reasons you don’t! It’s not like any of your photos are the same–you’re always using your body in a different way and also showing us cute or interesting things! I’m always impressed by your variety of angles. But your face is nice to see as well
With that said, I love the photo of your hair, forehead, and painting.
I think it’s just hard. I’m at the struggling point in the project. I thought to myself, “I take photos every day already. How hard would it be to include me in some way.”
Wow, it’s way harder than I thought! But thank you for the wonderful comments. =)
This cup is actually big enough to hold four or five cups, so I’m half way there. Yikes!
Yup, that’s exactly how it starts, and the next thing you know, you’re drinking 10 cups a day.
I love these, so simple and pretty..with a touch of pink.
Not like those if it’s not Baroque, don’t fix it! invitations that overshine the entire wedding.
Only FOUR hours? Gosh, it definitely took me longer than that. ;_;
<3 That makes me entirely happy. How long did it take to do all the handmade invites? Last month I helped a friend do handmade invites and it took us about 4 or so hours. Fun times, though.
