Strawberry Delight via Springridge Farm

A little while ago I mentioned the fantastic strawberry filled day that we had in Milton. First we saw Milton’s farmer’s market, where we picked up fresh fruit and -for fellow gamers- I saw a real life Mabari. Then we went to Milton’s Strawberry Fair where we tried their strawberry salsa and jams, watched Irish jig dancing, and had our picture taken for the paper (which I just scanned today!). To end the day we visited Springridge Farms, famous for having fields and fields of strawberries needing picking. I didn’t realize they had animals on the farm, and usually petting zoos/etc leave me feeling a little weepy, but I went inside anyway hoping my $4 contribution would help them in some way with better food or bigger living spaces. The birds were harder for me, particularly the peacock (which I couldn’t photograph), because there was very little room for him. But the bunnies had a lot of room and boy were they HUGE. There’s a photo with my feet kind of in frame so you can see just how large. The goats spent most of their time climbing and I spent much of my time talking to the ponies. Next post will be photos of inside Springridge. =)

Happy Tuesday!

Strawberries are so delicious! I would love to get to pick them like this.
