A Celebratory BBQ

So Tom’s mom & her husband had us over yesterday for a delicious summer bbq to celebrate finishing their patio! It was our second bbq for the summer, since Tom & I also celebrated July 4th with veggie dogs and veggie burgers. It was a wonderfully sunny day with refreshments and delicious grilled veggies, potatoes, fruit, TOFU KABOBS, and organic ice cream. Tom’s mom also discovered this fantastic marinade for the tofu! (We tried bbq too, but that didn’t go over so well.) I will share the recipe for the tofu tomorrow, so please look forward to it!

Two things: Firstly, I want to favorite the asparagus photo and kabob photo on Flickr, just sayin’, and secondly I cannot wait to try that tofu.

It’s quite delicious, actually! I am going to try it with orange juice tomorrow for lunch, I think!

agh you’re pictures are so pretty. Do you edit your pictures at all?
and when you use custom profiles on your camera does is it always on auto iso, do you ever have to set the iso?

Also do you edit you’re photos at all?

I’m extremely satisfied with the photos that come out of the camera, but when I upload them to Flickr they tend to become desaturated so I like to boost the saturation first (if I’m not too lazy), but that’s it! The rest is the magic of a custom color profile.

Also, I never use auto ISO! My camera is almost always in “AE” mode, aka “Aperture Priority”. I adjust the ISO and the F/stop and let the camera do the shutter speed. I hope that helps!

I’m note sure what you mean. When you mean custom profile do you mean the thing that says c1, c2, c3 etc?

Thanks so much for the comment, Raechel! I’m a little geeky that you’ve purchased the T1i! Mine is sitting in the bedroom feeling awfully neglected as of late. Will you be posting your photos on a blog or to Flickr? If so I’d love to have a link so I can check you out!
