2011Caturday Vidoes
Pumpkin does this really cute thing where he likes to fake chew on fingers. He never bites down but likes to lick and then pretend to eat it. Or maybe he’s remembering feeding as a kitten, who knows? Anyway, if you stick your finger to the side of his mouth he gets excited and does this chewing sound that Tom and I make fun of all the time. We try to mimic it while we eat. If you do this enough he then gets up and tries to cuddle really close to your chest. Adorable, really.
Annnnd remember when I told you Morn likes to run to the door when Tom comes home? Well, Tom gave me a call when he was riding the elevator so I could get my camera out and film it for you folks. I was trying to tell Tom that Morn will meow at the door if he doesn’t come home when Morn thinks he should. I still have yet to get that on video. I just thought I’d share these clips with you.

awwwwwwww!!!!! so sweet. my cat sadly will not do such cute things… although she will sometimes be waiting by the door when we get home. and judging by how warm the carpet is under her, she waits there for a looong time.

I’m so jealous of the incredible video your camera can take! Mine doesn’t take video at all. I have my little PowerShot for that, but they aren’t the best videos.

Awww. So cute! Felix does the running to the door thing, too, but it doesn’t matter who it is – whichever one of us is currently home at the time gets left in the dust when he realizes he’s been missing out on the other half all day. Also, Franny does the licking biting finger thing too! It IS pretty cute, but it drives me bonkers because I know she only does it to taste the human food on our hands. She’s such a little pig!

My cat used to do wait for me by the door every day after school – but she was a lot lazier about it; she usually just slept there for a while as far as I can tell. So adorable!

I love, love, love your kitty videos! Both of these remind me of funny things Leonardo does. I’ve been trying to make videos of him lately to hopefully put a blog post together soon because he acts so funny sometimes! That is what I love about cats
We have a similar thing when Joseph gets home. Leonardo hears the garage door opening, and it takes a while for Joseph to actually make it through the door. Leonardo gets very impatient so screams and rubs against the corner until Joseph walks in! Then he just looks at him and acts cool, as if he wasn’t extremely excited a few seconds before. I imagine he does the same when I come home, except he stays meowing beside me for about 10 minutes.
