Ireland In Moments

I thought I would end this evening and January by posting something I haven’t posted in a few years (I don’t even have a section for it on this new blog!), and that’s a home movie. When I had a Canon Powershot S3 IS, I made a lot of home movies. It was one of my favorite things to do, actually. And I am really grateful for the moments I saved with it- playing with my sisters, making gingerbread houses, carving pumpkins, making hot cocoa, etc. When I first was looking for a DSLR I asked if they had one with video yet, and I kid you not, the rep laughed in my face and said it wasn’t possible. I shrugged and said, “Why not?”

Needless to say, I didn’t buy my first DSLR from him (Amazon, all the way.) and only one year later and they released one with HD video capabilities. When I upgraded I was excited about the video feature, thinking I would go back to making home movies, but I haven’t. I’m not sure why, but I’m pretty sure it’s just that I forget I have video. So here is a very bare bones video of some moments in Ireland. I feel I’m very rusty as far as editing and camera shake goes, but it’s something I want to do more of this year so I know with practice you only become better. I hope you enjoy!

(Yes, I used Enya instead of a whimsical hip indie band, so sue me. She’s Irish. I HAD TO!)
