Hi there

I’m a Toronto based photographer, my favorite color is orange, and I have an overwhelming desire to preserve my life in photos. I’m in squirrely love with my best friend Tom, who also happens to be my husband, and we live in our very own 900 sq. foot apartment in Toronto with lots of natural light and a wood burning fireplace, and have three neurotic cats together.

For Hire

The best moments are candid. When shooting with a client I aim to have fun, that way you don’t have to worry about when to smile, how to pose, or feel awkward in front of the camera. A session is an adventure I want to take with you, and I am open to traditional poses and unconventional inspiration and am sure to shoot everything in between.

The Beginning

I’ve been photoblogging my life online since August 2006. What first started out as a raw, almost diary-like website has sprouted and grown more comfortably into an actual blog. It was hard for me to transition from one to the other at first, as I’d been keeping an online diary for close to six years, but I think I’m getting the hang of it now. (It only took me three years.)

What I “Blog” About

This blog is about life, simply. Simply Stardust includes recipes, lifestyle tips ranging from hair styles to ways to reuse coffee grounds, beautiful food, mini blogs from my two cats Morn & Pumpkin (and their mouse friend), with me photographing practically everything along the way. I recently finished a 365 Days Portrait project (a portrait a day, every day, for a year), tied the knot, and traveled Ireland on our honeymoon.
