Goodbye Miss, Hello Mrs.

Video Games & Red

On day 136 I wasn’t feeling so hot at all, and I definitely didn’t feel like having my picture taken.

See, Pumpkin is a needy Ned. We suspect he suffers from separation anxiety. He will pretty much stay cuddled up in your lap (or with Morn, or against a wall) all day. And he moves to the door to try and stop us from leaving with out him. He’s always trying to find new and inventive ways to come along. But hiding in our grocery bag was a new one.

Homemade cookies and milk. Because you can’t have cookies without milk. Can you believe Tom had never had cookies and milk before? (He used to be severely lactose intolerant.)

We picked up Heavy Rain on day 139. I was impressed by the graphics and the game mechanics, but felt that over all there were just a few too many mundane tasks. It felt like a demo to show off the possibilities of future gaming (perhaps in the horror genre?!) using this new style.

Also, did Madison have a purpose at all other than to be a sexy female? I realize there are 22 different endings, so it’s possible she’d play a bigger part, but Tom and I agreed in our first play through she could have been completely omitted. (Except she shares my last name!)

I dyed my hair red with a temporary washout dye but the old blonde ends sucked up the color. I like it.

I get antsy about my photography sometimes. I feel like my entire portfolio (specifically on Flickr) is crap and it needs to be organized, cleaned out, and a lot of older images removed. You can’t see it but I’m wearing my spring cleaning face. It’s a growl.

Day 143 was a dumpling day. We’ve modified the old recipe a little, so here’s a link to the updated recipe! Unfortunately when we’re hankering for dumplings it’s usually a three hour process (we make a bunch for left overs). But once I have a bite, and I’m cramming some into my mouth right now, I realize it was totally worth every minute.

We definitely need a dumpling night. Dumplings and tea.

Also, I think cats view bags and boxes as the best inventions of life. 😀
