This is only my third watercolor since diving back in, and it is far from done, but I figured now was a good time to share it. It’s for my friend Ashling and it’s a portrait of her beloved Friday.
Goodbye Miss, Hello Mrs.
one eighty four – one ninety one
Tom and I have been spending a lot of time outside. I am still very much a country girl getting used to the city, and I am used to being able to walk outside and having nothing but nature for a while. But here you need to go to parks where there are lots of people at picnic tables and designated ares. Like I said, it’s taking a while to get used to, but I’m trying. We’re doing picnics on sunny days, so here you get a picture of us being goofy.
And, yet another photo of us being goofy.
Tom and I packed a picnic lunch of tuna wraps, miso soup and goodies and took a breather by the lake to enjoy the oncoming of summer. This was my “goodie”. His was raspberry with fresh berries. Oh yum.
I would like to learn how to make jams/preserves this summer. Though mostly strawberry, since that’s my favorite. But peach, raspberry, blackberry, pear, etc, those are all options.
I never thought The Sims would be any fun because you had to take care of your Sim and make sure they ate, slept, and went to the bathroom. And I thought, where’s the fun in that? You have to do that for yourself every day! (But I had never actually played.) Oh HO, but then I actually played! I was able to build my dream house and work in the garden and have my dream kitchen! Oh yes. This is what I did for days. It’s so much fun!
What is THIS? We’ve seen this already! Of course you have, it’s the 365 portrait for our day at Wasabi!
In case maybe you still had doubts about Tom and I being an old married couple trapped inside people in their early twenties, we now officially have a card game night with a bunch of other old people. No joke. And it’s Friday nights. Oh, and when it’s our turn to bring sandwiches, I’m totally using my dinosaur sandwich cutter because most of the elderly don’t like the crusts.
Don’t bother holding back your laughter, I can hear it from here.
