Today I was caught in the rain (uh, thunderstorm) for a few hours. Now I’m chilled to the bone, wearing a million layers, and sipping some green tea. I figured I would post another digest because it’s getting close to the end. This is truly the home stretch. YEEHAW. I don’t think I’ve ever actually said that before in my life.
Trying, trying, trying really hard to get through this book. It’s not that it’s bad, it’s very informative, but a great chunk of it is stuff I already know or am not all that interested in. It talks about the industry as a whole, which is interesting, but I poo pooed fast food (along with soda) in high school! But it’s nice to revisit some things. The problem with reading books I don’t like is that I feel I must finish them. So when I find a book a like and I read it in a day or two and am hungry for another, I go on this reading streak. But if I get stuck reading a book I’m not too thrilled about I just drag my feet like crazy and what I really should do is put it down entirely. Then I wind up reading books like Choke, and hating every minute of it. But, I’m weird. What else is new?
Not so windy day, but chilly.
Sunny day, but winds from hurricane Earl.
Bored on a cold, rainy Sunday. What’s a girl to do? Follow outrageous makeup tutorials on YouTube, that’s what!
An “anniversary” gift. The anniversary being November when I packed up my life and moved to Canada to live with him forever. This is sort of random/partially related. Here in Canada they have what’s called “common law” husband and wife. Couples can live together and get all the benefits (taxes, insurance, etc ) as a married couple when they live together for a certain amount of time. You never have to go to a church to be wed and can still be Mr. & Mrs, and the government recognizes your union. But, you know, weddings are pretty cool too. A huge party with awesome food to celebrate love and commitment? Yeah, we’re all about that.
I can’t even wait long enough to make my post run smoothie, the strawberry just looked too good.
Om nom nom nom.
Pretty awesome wedding giiiiift! We don’t even have a cellphone plan, but we’re enjoying using these bad boys as the neat little TAGs they are. (Totally awesome gadgets, by the way. Yes, I totally made that up just now.) Alarm clocks, to-do lists, games, cameras, and portable computers to use when Wi-Fi is nearby.
I AM GETTING EXCITED, GUYS!

16 Sep 2010 at 8:06 pmI’m so the same with books – they must be finished! What if the end has a brilliant twist that makes for the lagging first three quarters? Sadly it hardly ever turns out like that, but I live in hope 🙂

16 Sep 2010 at 6:02 pmI am the same way with books. No matter how awful they are I feel like I HAVE to finish them! Same with series. I am reading this series right now that kind of annoys me, but I just sent Brock to the library to pick up the last two books so I can just read them and be done with it, lol.

16 Sep 2010 at 4:59 pmI am so sad I am going to miss your wedding. I cannot wait to see the beautiful photos. I hope everything goes as planned! And of course your photos are gorgeous as usual. I’m off to go Dollar Store shopping with my mommy. Love you!

16 Sep 2010 at 4:21 pmAHHH I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU.
Also, I think the US has common law marriages, too, in only a handful of states.
I know I’ve told you this, but I’m in love with your coat. I glanced around for a similar one while I was scouring the town for an orange dress, but none of them measured up. ;_;
