Morn is the best picture taker. I use my remote and flash the light and he’ll look at the camera until he hears the shutter and then he’ll go back to looking around.
I figured it was best if I took a 365 photo with each cat now that they’re home. They’re a big part of my life and my 365 feels empty without a proper return portrait.
Pumpkin’s not so much of a fantastic picture taker. He’s easily distracted but he’s still trained to look when you make the kissing sound, so perhaps next time I’ll have someone stand by the camera shaking a toy or making sounds…
I’ve been shopping for a new bag since I came here, (over a year ago) if that tells you how ridiculous picky I am! I like room for sunglasses, my camera, my wallet and change purse, lip stuffs, a book, and space for a few extras, like a water bottle. This one does all that- I’m quite excited.
I used to collect these map sets- Lighthouses of Michigan, Shipwrecks of the Great Lakes, etc. I loved how old they looked. I saw this from afar I just went aloud, “That’s the one!”
I wanted to start knitting and for my first project I decided to do a little salt and pepper shaker mat. I’m not sure about you, but it buuuugs me when there’s little salt or pepper bits left on the table after a meal. I’m hoping to make a few pot holders to match, as we only have Mr. Owl currently.
Because they rub against my legs.
When I work around the house (vacuum, mopping, etc) I usually wear my hair in messy wrapped braids, pinned in all sorts of places. It’s getting long enough now where a ponytail still gets in the way.
Oh, how I love this stuff. During my sister’s two week visit we stopped by one of the Asian supermarkets nearby and picked up loads of goodies. (Every store around here suddenly stopped carrying Tonkatsu sauce, what the heck?) It brought back a lot of childhood memories for me. I really like it because it’s not as sweet and overpoweringly sugary as the peach drinks are in North America. Yum in my tumster.
Day 95 marked the end of vacations, for my sister and my Mr. We said our goodbyes and then Tom and I relaxed on the couch by the fire reading.
Also, I just noticed I wore black every single photo this week, pants or shirts. Awesome.

13 Jan 2010 at 3:13 pmHOLY SHIT!
I saw that EXACT same peach juice at the Japanese market in Brasil. I miss it. I wish I could have spent a lot more time in Japanese Town, but I was able to just get a taste for it to know that when I go back, I want to spend a whole day there.

13 Jan 2010 at 1:51 pmI love that bag so very much, and the photos with the kitties. I totally feel you on the fur thing. Our dog sheds a crap ton more than the cat, but he still leaves his hair on us. 🙂
I totally need to hit up an Asian food store and stock up. I’ve never had the peach juice!
