So these are older (from the 16th, to be exact!) but you fellow bloggers might know how it is. If you don’t write about it soonish then time will go by and you’ll feel just a little bit silly writing about it at all. This was the day after we picked up the 7D and 24-70mm lens, and Tom took a lot more photos than I did, but I wanted to share what I did take. I had the 50mm 1.4 lens on because I have this thing about the low f/stop. 2.0 is my favorite and I tend to get antsy if I go any higher.
I must say, I’m really excited that Tom had so much fun with the camera because I enjoyed sitting in nature and talking the craft with him. I think he has a better natural eye for composition than I do and I’m helping him get his Flickr set up for every day use, so soon we’ll be one of those couples. His and her Flickr accounts, what fun. Anyway, enjoy these sunny summery shots, because it’s sure as heck been too hot to step foot outside the past few days! I’ll stick to smoothies and air conditioning, thank you very much!

28 May 2010 at 1:39 amGuh! You are so lucky times a million! I can’t even get Chris to admit that he’s a great photographer (despite the sleeves of negatives from his early 20’s that say otherwise…) let alone even CONSIDER keeping a serious Flickr stream.
Also, I TOTALLY relate on the blogging front. I have a bazillion sets of photos backed up that I simply haven’t had the time to edit and write about. If I don’t do it soon they’ll fade into oblivion, for sure.

26 May 2010 at 4:55 pmSeriously! How did you see birds in Toronto that I haven’t seen at the farm?! I love that first shot with the person’s head faded into a frame of sorts. I’m happy your conversion was successful! 😀
