Some of you may or may not remember a certain creamery that Tom and I frequented during our time in the US. Well, we were visitng Tom’s dad for Canada Day and stopped in to Tim Horton’s only to discover that Coldstone Creamery had struck a deal with Timmy’s. Apparently Tim Horton’s will now be joined with Coldstone and it’s set to span across all of Canada. How cool is that?
We also saw Toy Story 3 in 3D, which was also fabulous. And since I’m American, Tom and I are going to grill up some veggie dogs and veggie burgers today and hit the pool to celebrate July 4th for me. I’m kind of dorky so this is exciting. I hope Canadian friends had a fantastic Canada Day and you Americans have a great fourth of July.

You ought to look at Yahoo’s home page and see how they create news headlines to grab people interested. You might add a related video or a picture or two to grab people excited about what you’ve got to say.
Just my opinion, it might bring your posts a little livelier.

I wonder if our Tim Horton’s will be doing that or if it’s just in Canada? I do love Coldstone, but they are so pricey and there are a million locally owned ice cream places around here that we usually go to.

10 Jul 2010 at 2:41 pmThere are Coldstone X Tim Horton’s stores around here in Columbus, but their ice cream (as with most dairy that comes from hormone-treated/antibiotic pumped cows) doesn’t do nice things to me. Which is sad, because I love love love their cake batter ice cream.
At the same time though, I’m okay with it. It gives me the perfect excuse to frequent Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, who makes all their ice cream from Snowville Creamery milk and cream (the same local dairy I buy my milk from). Not to mention getting to enjoy delicious flavors like Wildberry Lavender and Mackenzie Creamery Goat Cheese with Roasted Red Cherries that just plain don’t exist elsewhere. Nom. <3

8 Jul 2010 at 10:05 amWe don’t really have Cold Stone in my town. I am not sure if they are elsewhere in the state. We had some Marble Slabs around town, but only for a short time. I’m pretty sure they came and went within a year. Very sad. We have a couple Bruster’s and a Baskin Robbins and that’s about the extent of the ice cream business.

6 Jul 2010 at 9:32 pmI just saw Toy Story 3 in 3D the other week, too! Did you cry much? I have to admit, I was chokin’ ’em back real bad during certain moments. Even the Day/Night mini had me on the verge of tears!
Also, just wanna chime in and say that your very first photo isn’t working for me, either, but I can see all the rest. It just has that little Flickr placeholder that says the photo is currently unavailable.

Anywho, we loved Toy Story 3 and came to the realization that our two favorite movies of 2010 are this one and How to Train Your Dragon (the best 3D film yet, we think). It’s funny because Scott told me he wouldn’t have gone to either of them if it weren’t for me, but I love animated movies so much we had to.
Also: I miss Coldstone. <3

4 Jul 2010 at 2:33 pmahh, i want to see toy story 3 so much but it’s not out in the uk until later in the month -_- not much 4th celebration going on here… we were going to do something but half the family is away at a competition so i think i might persuade them when they get back to go off one night on the land and set off some fireworks (when it finally stops raining!)
