13 Days in Michigan (Day Three)

Taken by Bronwyn.

Tom and I woke to Morn and Pumpkin at our feet again, and after showering and getting dressed we dined on bacon, eggs, sausage, toast, bagels, fresh orange juice, tea and other breakfast goodies. Oh, be still my growling stomach. Actually, I’ve yet to have dinner so that’s probably why it’s growling, not necessarily due to the memories of the breakfast. Not to say the breakfast wasn’t good, it was fabulous. Oh, hell.

I wore my favorite outfit and the girls and I sported matching Heidi braid hairstyles, because we’re complete dorks.

The carnival is set up, there are midway rides, cotton candy, and finally fireworks on the last day. The girls were “a bit old” for the Kid’s Day as it turned out, so we left early and spent some time at the beach before indulging in sweets.

Tom cut off all his beautiful hair. (Bronwyn called it “McDreamy hair”, referring to a character from Grey’s Anatomy, I think?) I’m still broken over this, but he does look gorgeous either way. Kiki’s highlights look so natural and really added depth to her hair. I wish I’d done brown color with red lights, but I need my hair to grow out first. I want to avoid dying it for a while. Unless it’s temporary. And red. NOOOSTOPTHISTRAINOFTHOUGHTNOW.

[flickr size=”small” float=”left”]http://www.flickr.com/photos/simplystardust/3818296505/[/flickr] August 1st is Tom’s birthday, however Kimee’s birthday party was planned for the 1st, so we had a homemade extravagant dinner for Tom’s birthday a night early. We had lasagna, apple pie, peach pie, ceasar salad, and bread, all homemade. It. was. delicious. Ugh, my stomach is growling just thinking about it.

If you watch the clips, I would just like to add that Pumpkin really lets you do anything to him and I was very gentle and he ADORES any attention. I guess you can tell he likes it because he doesn’t squirm or anything, but I just thought I’d clarify in advance.

Speaking of cats, sorry there are so many of Morn in the same pose (practically) but I miss my cats very much and so I guess I went a little photo happy with them.

I love those Heidi braids so much! It makes me wish I hadn’t just gotten my hair all cut off, haha. The pillow fight pictures are so great. If I were you I would have them framed.

I swear Tom is so movie star handsome. I’m sure you agree. 🙂
