High Tea at World Steam

High Tea was held through out the day on Saturday and you came in and sat down at a table with a mix of strangers and friends and enjoyed tea as if in the early Victorian era. In previous years of World Steam they had a specialist there who would tell you all about the tea you were drinking, what went into harvesting it, and what the Victorian’s would have thought about it at the time. You also had food pairings to go with each tea as to compliment your palate. I’m not sure if we had just a slow time or they opted out this year on some of those minor details, but the tea itself was still very enjoyable, as was the company. Everyone was super friendly and openly shared their stories about how they fell in love with the Steampunk genre and world. It was a promising start to our weekend at the World Steam Expo!

Really? I would definitely recommend it- I think I might look around here too and see if there are any as well. It would be something I’d love to do again (and hopefully this time there’s better light!)
