Let It Snow

Last year we didn’t have snow until well after Christmas. This year, a half an hour before midnight on Christmas eve it started snowing. Now most people around here tell me they hate the snow (unless perhaps they ski or snowboard) but I love it. It’s just as much a part of the seasons as summer or autumn, and if it’s going to be cold and everything’s going to be dead, it might as well be pretty outside. Yeah, yeah, it’s cold and it means wearing coats to go outside and going through extra hassle with your camera gear, but it’s beautiful to me. It means cuddling up on the couch, oversized sweaters, hot chocolate, a warm fireplace- it just wouldn’t be winter without that sparkling blanket of snow and the accompanying crunch under my boot.

How beautiful. It never snows in my home city, but I’m about to move to the French Alps, of all places. I’ve been dreading it, since I’m going straight from summer to winter, but this post is making me look forward to the snow! Such magical photos Sara 🙂

    gorgeous photos 🙂

never having experienced snow (or had to live the difficulties I’m sure it presents) I think snow is pretty magical. & when it’s been over 40C for most of the week, cold sounds pretty good too.

Beautiful photos! I wanted to tell you that your blog inspired me to take up the year-long photo project with prompts for each day (just posted the first batch today!) I hope I’ll keep it up 🙂
If you want to have a look, please do so: any feedback would be appreciated (I’m a total beginner so still so much more to learn…!)
