Frankenmuth Personal

Making Spirits Bright

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, I certainly did! I am going to take a break from the Ireland photos for this week because I want to share the photos from my family Christmas in Frankenmuth, and tis the season, of course!

Moving almost eight hours away takes its toll on those of us that are family-oriented all the time, but especially around the holidays. So when I called my mom to whine about Christmas again this year, (knowing full well that neither she nor we would be feeling up to a long drive after the wedding in October), I had sort of already considered it a lost cause. But then we had this idea to meet halfway, and that’s how our little mini-holiday in Frankenmuth was born. The drive was roughly four hours, and the stay only a weekend, but it certainly has made my Christmas this year. (This has been a great year for me and I hope 2011 is just as great.)

The first thing we did upon arriving was to take a horse carriage ride that my mother had arranged as a surprise for us. She also made hot cocoa and treats for the ride. We wrapped up in blankets and caught up while listening to sleigh bells and hooves. And I took photos. (I think by now this goes without saying.)

What wonderful pictures, i wanted to be there so bad. But with our cold germs and the hugging and kissing, you would all be sick by christmas.
thank you for including me though. the pictures are so great. What a great place to get in the Christmas spirit. Looks like the girls adored those horses. And uncle Orris Is sure those treats were Rice Crispie treats, he loves them.
Have a wonderful Christmas, I will look at other pictures on your blog.
Love Aunt Carol And Uncle Orris
