This looks like a cute red messenger bag, but it’s really a camera bag in disguise! (on clearance for $15!!) And I am now using it like a purse. I’ve been shopping for the perfect travel camera bag since August, long before I moved up here, but everything I saw clearly screamed camera bag and I just don’t want it to be obvious that I’m carrying something that expensive, I guess. I’d rather people assume it’s just an average bag with books, makeup and perhaps other girly things. Like my bubbles that I never leave without. Don’t laugh, they smell like chocolate and come on, who doesn’t feel better when they blow some bubbles. It passes time. Like when you’re standing in line, waiting at a red light, or sitting on a public toilet. You should try it before you judge me. Seriously. Doo it.
Update
I never found the perfect camera bag that acts as a purse, so I ended up buying one and taking out the insides of a camera bag to put inside my purse. It’s easy and best of all, you don’t look like you’re carrying around a huge camera bag all the time.

13 May 2009 at 11:45 amI’m not sure about carrying all three cameras, but as it stands with this camera bag I can carry my dSLR, an extra lens, the powershot, and then like books, and my psp, and it all fits really nicely.
I really, really like having a “this-isn’t-a-camera-bag” style one, though. It puts me at ease a little walking around downtown.

13 May 2009 at 2:26 amOh! I love bubbles! I really need some more, my container is getting a little low now. If I can get some money together, I want to make myself a large tote. This entry reminded me of this! Thanks! 😀 The bag is a lovely colour 🙂

12 May 2009 at 7:18 pm*gasp* I LOVE that camera bag!
I’ve been in search for the same exact thing – a camera bag incognito, because I am so paranoid of carrying around my Nikon in something that, well, says “Hey look at me I’ve got expensive equipment just SCREAMING to be torn off my body and sold on the black market… or eBay.” I love the look of that bag. Does it have a lot of padding in it? I’m always afraid my bags aren’t padded enough and are going to damage my poor little (ok, maybe not so little) camera.

11 May 2009 at 8:38 amI have a camera bag that I use as my “purse”, though it’s quite a bit more obvious than yours. I’ve been looking at a few new ones, possibly one that holds BOTH/ALL THREE of my cameras, or at least an extra lens or two, and thinking maybe a lens and camera bag from the ‘rents for birthday stuffs?

10 May 2009 at 10:05 pmI DID! I can’t believe I forgot to mention I fiddled with the 500D! It’s lighter than the XTi and I didn’t get to test the video because it uses a slightly different memory card. Next time! It was fun though, I won’t lie. =D
Pretty sure Tom held it and fiddled before I did.

I love the bag! I have a camera bag that screams “camera” soooo it doesn’t get much use, I’ll admit it.

10 May 2009 at 9:35 pmThats a very good idea! I’ll have to look for a non-obvious camera bag to.
I love blowing bubbles! I have an ice-cream cone shaped bubble blower and they smell like strawberry <3
