Okay, I need to start posting one of these collections at least once a week or I’ll truly never catch up! (Plus, I’ve taken some really cool photos lately that I really want to share but I can’t until I catch up.) These are from early February so there was still sweaters and snow. I hope you all had a fabulous weekend, and I hope my friends and readers in the States are enjoying their Memorial Day. Take lots of photos!
“Shopping”
Booorrriiing. Sorry.
“Domestic”
(That would be NuPak and Yves – both Canadian.)
“Lost”
Imagine, for a moment, that this is a photo of the milky way galaxy.
“Doorway”
I can’t seem to get out of the “self portrait” habit, and I also am just in the winter slump. I’m ready to go out and take photos outside but it’s always so cold a snowy.
This is our Solarium. It’s surrounded by windows and has a sliding glass doorway so we can seal ourselves off from the world and do whatever work it is we want to do. This is our shared office. Tom is on the left, I am on the right, and the cats are in the middle.
“Book”
A book is like a garden carried in the pocket.
This is my journal. The inside is removable so I can reuse the cover. I love it.
Yes, that is cat hair on my sweater. =]
“Space”
I couldn’t help myself. (Here’s a matching one of me just for kicks.)

31 May 2011 at 4:48 amOur notes are colour-coded too ^_^ each one has a different native bird printed on it. Your ‘space’ shots remind me of the stone and the jellyfish. Hmm, I just read that and realised it doesn’t make much sense. I hope it makes sense to you ^_^;

30 May 2011 at 5:36 pmUm, I’m here to interject and say that the first photo is ONLY boring if you’re from (or currently live 😉 in Canada! I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen Canadian money until now, it’s so pretty!
We have a wad of foreign currency from our travels that sits on a bookshelf – it’s funny how similar a lot of currency looks despite the obvious differences in geographic location. Thai baht, Lao kip, Costa Rica colone… They all look so much like the Canadian… dollar? (What is Canadian money called anyway?!) Makes me wonder why the US decided to go with something comPLETELY different.
God, this is like an afterschool special, haha. 😛

30 May 2011 at 6:12 pmHaha, I guess you’re right! This actually reminds me of a funny story from when I first moved here. We were all out to dinner and I turned to Tom to say, “Hey, those people just left European money on the table!” but caught myself at the last second once I realized where I was. That had the whole table in fits for a few minutes.
It’s nice because it’s color coordinated and it’s easy to sort out in your wallet.
And Canadian money here is still called dollars. =) 5, 10, etc. The only thing that is different is that there is a one dollar coin (called a Loonie) and a two dollar coin (called a Toonie). Everything else is the same. Pennies, nickles, dimes, OH MY!
