    Hello Sara,

My name’s Jon and I’m a wedding DJ from London, England and I have a passion for photography.

Firstly, great website and blog! I’m looking at possibly buying the 35mm 1.4L to go with my Canon 5d mk3 that I’ve just bought. I’m not really into post-processing so I wanted to ask you if there’s many images in your blog that are SOOC (straight out of camera), or are all your images PP’d?

    Thanks for reading!
    Jon

      Hi Jon!

Thanks for visiting my blog. I adore the 35mm 1.4L and the results it produces. I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough, it’s probably my favorite lens. Photos look stunning SOOC. I do very light processing on my photos only- slight contrast adjustments and saturation so that when they get uploaded to the web they look like they do SOOC on my computer screen. I hope that helps!

love these; the bloopers are often the most fun to look back on, they show more of the story.

Hey Sara – I saw these at the Umbra store on Queen West & thought of your project! It would be perfect! I’m planning to get one for my girlfriend and painting the ampersand black so it stands out a little more.

    Cute!

Apparently the 35 mm 1.4 has really good reviews. Are you happy with this upgrade?
(I would say yes just by looking at your pictures).
I am thinking about it for my 60D…

Anyway, really beautiful pictures and great blog!

Ludovic, first of all- thanks for stopping by my blog! I adore the 35mm 1.4 and I haven’t been disappointed for a moment that I purchased it. For my every day life it’s been pretty much on my camera non-stop. I love it, and it’s currently my go-to lens! For a crop sensor (like your 60D) it will crop more like a 50mm frame, but that’s why I got mine in the first place- to go with my 7D!

      You won’t be disappointed!

Thank you Sara for sharing your experience. You convinced me.

I really love the way you catch the everyday life.
It’s very inspiring: yesterday I took some pictures of our cat Lily!

Thanks Jade! This project was certainly a blast- I hope we can do something similar next year, if we’re feeling up to it.

Thanks, Vickie! We were just being silly for those glasses shots but they turned out to be one of my favorites as well.
