AKA The Cliffs of Insanity!!!
Recognize this? (It is INDEED where they filmed the “Cliffs of Insanity” scene from the Princess Bride!)
This is where I picked up one of my souvenirs. As far as souvenirs go, I like things I can actually keep forever and preferably wear. Even if it’s a handmade sweater that nobody will recognize as “Irish”, I’ll know it was handmade in Ireland. I didn’t see anything I really liked though (that fit me or wasn’t clearly for tourists) so I went with this small pin that now resides on my coat. Fitting, I think.
I hope you all have an exciting, photo-filled weekend!

22 Feb 2011 at 4:07 pmSince I am taking my first trip to Ireland in 3 weeks, I am trying very hard not to look at photos of your trip (so as not to spoil things) – and I’ll have you know, it is taking every ounce of strength in my body to keep from peeking. But, these photos from the Cliffs of Moher are absolutely breathtaking. One little peek doesn’t hurt, right? Right.

22 Feb 2011 at 5:13 pmI promise you no amount of peeking could ever spoil the real thing. I actually found myself quite frustrated because I felt I couldn’t come even close to capturing the feel of being there in person.

1 Feb 2011 at 1:26 amYour photographs are gorgeous. I studied abroad in 1997 and took a small trip to Ireland. One of the places I visited was the Cliffs of Moher – it was stunning place and you captured it well!

14 Jan 2011 at 9:25 amMy favorite movie of all time. It was so neat learning how they filmed that scene, and it’s even more awesome seeing them in your photos.
Beautiful photos as always. 🙂
