This is the first of two parts showcasing the harbor at Dún Laoghaire. These first few days in Ireland were particularly special because aside from meeting the family I was finally everywhere Tom had been. It’s something we’d talked about a few times. Through the eight years we had talking to each other, we lived in a lot of places, went to high school, graduated, lived on our own, etc. Slowly we’ve found ways to take each other to each spot, and Ireland was the last for me. I was able to see the way he walked to work when he was there. See the bed he sat on while he typed away on his laptop to me. And walk the harbor just as he had two years before. Tom says now there is now no place that he’s been that he doesn’t associate with me. There are two left on my side though, which we are working to remedy. (California and Japan.)
This is the last post for this week, and then I’m off to Michigan to visit my family! Posting will resume on Monday! I hope everyone has a great weekend.

20 Dec 2010 at 11:28 pmThank you so much! I was so worried that it wouldn’t turn out and I was too embarrassed to take more than one shot. I’m so relieved that it did.

17 Dec 2010 at 1:00 amSuch a pleasant post. I feel like I’ve been there for a moment. I like the slight greenish hue in the blues. (of course it’s different on every monitor, but looks terrific on mine:-)

Also, did you say CALIFORNIA? Because, you know, Portland isn’t really all that far from California… In the big scope of things, of course. *COUGH*SECONDHONEYMOON*COUGH*
