Into The Land of Butterflies

Hello everyone! Last weekend Tom and I took a trip to a butterfly conservatory in Niagara Falls. It was absolutely beautiful and I must apologize in advance because I’ve had to break up the trip into another post (or two), so for those of you that don’t like butterflies- don’t hate me! Try as I might, I just couldn’t bring myself to shrink these photos, they really are best viewed large. So enjoy and have a great weekend! (We’re almost at $200 for Japan!!)

I love butterflies a lot. I see photos of them so more often. but either they act unprofessionally or professionally but loveless. Here I see a very different kind of photos that I like very well.

Those photographs are absolutely beautiful – I love the textures and details incredibly! I particularly like the image where the butterflies mingle around the food plate, it’s full of happiness and joy.

The local conservatory does a Blooms and Butterflies exhibit every year that runs from March to July, I absolutely love it. Last time we went, Josh had a stubborn little hitchhiker that just would NOT get off his finger. We got stuck in the butterfly room for a good extra hour not wanting to hurt the little guy in trying to get him off.

(Oh no, stuck in a room full of butterflies–the tragedy!)

Butterflies wings are beautiful to look at but I must admit… anything that can land on me without my permission scares the bejesus out of me.

Oh this is absolutely wonderful! I wish we had such a place nearby. I’d live there. 🙂 I volunteered at a local botanical garden and mulched their butterfly area, but it wasn’t very big, and there were not butterflies. Haha.

Your title reminds me of a certain favourite childhood book!
