Little Toronto Photo Club Toronto

Adornments On Queen

Last week I shared photos from the Little Toronto Photo Club’s brunch at Figs. After our meal we took a walk together and stopped inside this adorable shop called Adornments On Queen. If you’re in the area of Toronto, this place is perfect for those who like an antique style, delicately feminine décor, or a lovers of tea. The whole shop is set up in a very European style (with tons of little trinkets every where you look and there’s barely enough room for you to wander through without knocking anything over- which I love.) If you don’t take your time browsing you’re sure to miss something! It was so hard not to come home with bags full of goodies. To top it off the owner was more than delighted to see us in the store. She let us go snap happy through the entire store while we left our purses safely tucked behind the counter. (Isn’t that the best?)

I brought home two bags of sample teas, The Mate Vanilla Chai & Green & White Pear Cream, which I’ve fallen in love with and will need to re-stock my cupboard with soon.

What a cute little shop. Love the cat salt & pepper shakers. I wish we had more shops like this around where I live, I’m gonna have to visit Canada someday.

Love shops like this and those little white porcelain cats caught my eye in that image… When I read Queen Street East, it sounded familiar. My husband, who’s a painter, exhibited in Toronto 2 years ago. I just dug out the catalogue, but the gallery was on Queen Street West instead… We didn’t get to see as much of Toronto as we would have liked as the G20 was on. We hope to get back someday and see more of the city.
