200913 Days in Michigan (Day Thirteen)

This is the last day we spent in Michigan, and actually it was only until lunch. We spent the morning deep cleaning the cabin (it was cleaner when we left then we we arrived) and packing our things into the car. When my sister finished her shift at work we met her and the family at a local Thai restaurant and had our last meal. And I’m actually getting quite choked up while writing this, so I’m going to leave you with pictures.

My mom left us with a parting gift of Traverse City (cherry capital of the world) cherry goods, which have been delightful to break into. I still have the bag next to me, actually. I haven’t tried most of it, because for some reason I like to save things forever and never use them. But I did try the pancakes.

I don’t even like cherries and those pancakes are making me sweat a little. That Thai food looks amazinnnng, even at 8AM when I’m typing this.

What an amazing trip. The happiness just shines through every photo.

Hey sweetie! Thanks for sharing your trip with us. You’ve made me so homesick, but in a good way. Missing you all.

I am the same way, I can never use things and just save them forever. It drives me (and Brock) nuts!!
All these food pictures are making me really crave some Thai. I don’t think we have a good Thai restaurant around here!

I put my comment elsewhere but I forgot to say how much this made me want their Pad Thai again. *drool* Good call Kat!
Lollie
Those pancakes look delicious!
I’m the same too with keeping things and never using them. There’s some sort of odd sentimental attachment to things, you don’t want to finish it, because then it’s gone and only a memory… if that makes any sense.
It looks like you have had a lovely time in Michigan ♥
