Welcome to Canada

Screw secrets and clues, I’ll just tell you! I just made the biggest move of my life. I packed my things into a tiny car and drove to Canada with my mother and sister holding my hand the entire way. Just to clarify, this has nothing to do with the election. (We know I voted blue.) I stayed long enough to vote, but Friday, November 7th at 3 am, we hit the road.

So guess what I had for breakfast?

And most importantly is who I had it with.

The truth is we spent seven years apart from each other and life is just too short to spend it apart anymore. We’re tired of waiting. We’re tired of laying in bed four hundred miles from each other feeling that dreaded ache. When it’s worth it, sometimes you have to take a leap. I believe in Tom and I believe in us. So much so that I was able to (though completely terrified) leave my family (which is more than just blood) to do this.

I feel like my body is alive again.
I can sleep at night.
There is no more ache.

This is it.

Hello, World.

I’ve had a big bang of the soul.

For those in my situation: Be brave. Never give up. Trust yourself. Life is too short to spend it worrying that you will fail or scared that you might make a mistake. Go. Go. Go.
