When Tom comes home during the week Morn and I will literally race to the door to be the first one to greet him. It’s kind of ridiculous because, well, I’m Tom’s wife but he still insists and waddle running to the door to beat me there. I try to remind myself that he’s just excited, and that he runs to the door to greet me when I come home too, but I get all antsy and competitive and pathetically try racing a cat to the front door. Picture that for a second. It’s really funny.
After Tom’s home for a bit, he’ll usually sit on the couch and let Morn on to his lap. I’ve mentioned before that if we stand around talking for too long Morn will start meowing quietly at his feet to remind him that he has forgotten something. Well the other day we were getting ready to leave right away, so Tom was checking for directions on his phone while sitting on the arm of the couch. Would you believe it that Morn jumped up on to his lap anyway and climbed onto his chest? Well you don’t have to, because I of course have photographs.

7 Jun 2011 at 1:33 pmWe do the same! But, solution: we have a “family hug” and I hold the cat and Peter hugs me. It’s kind of cute to get to feel so sappy sometimes with both of them!

4 Jun 2011 at 11:11 pmCute! That’s a total Felix move, too. He’s always wanting our attentions when we get home from work, or even a short outing to the market. Then, 10 minutes later, it’s like we don’t even exist again. Cats, man!
