Camping In Algonquin

Every summer after we left Japan my dad took us camping among the redwoods and sequoias, but since becoming a “twenty-something”, I can count the number of camping adventures I’ve had on one hand. After we came back from our week long Alaskan adventure (where we spent the last two days in 6+ million acres of true wilderness), I was aching to explore what we had available back home. It’s funny how you don’t think to explore areas around you sometimes until you decide to treat your home as if you were a tourist. Some friends decided to head off to Algonquin Provincial Park the weekend after we came home, and despite have a torn supraspinatus and a fever of 103, I caved in to peer pressure and went along. (I’m so glad I did, I had a blast, despite being sick.) I can’t wait until our next trip! (Though this time, I could do with less mosquito bites. Tom had something like 56!) Also, for those of you interested, I’ve included that secret details for the star photos at the end of this post!
