Tom and I decided to go with a new theme for our Christmas tree this year. The last few years it was blue and white, from ornaments I picked out the year before I moved here. We love the blue and white ornaments, but we wanted to change it up because Tom’s never had a tree all his own to decorate and we’ve never had a chance to pick things out together. It was really fun walking down aisles and aisles of decorations and getting excited when we’d reach for (or point to) the same ornaments. Honestly, I’ve never been particularly festive (HA, yeah right) about Christmas in particular (at least not more than other seasons), but something hit me hard this year and I could barely wait to put the tree up and decorate. I even made a new Merry Little Christmas Mix. It’s certainly beginning to feel (and look a lot like) Christmas!

11 Dec 2012 at 9:24 pmThanks!! We were pleasantly surprised when we saw the pieces. We’d been looking for a few weeks and hadn’t seen anything that we fancied.

11 Dec 2012 at 9:27 pmOh gosh, thank you so much! We were worried that it would be too much brown and not enough splash of color, but once it was on the tree we were in love!

11 Dec 2012 at 9:32 pmThanks, Vickie!! Every year the moment the tree is up the first think Morn does is claim a spot underneath. He’s not looking to play with the ornaments or eat the branches, he just sits there like a furry gift in the glow of the lights. I love that about him.
