I love international love stories- and it’s not just because I’m part of one, either. I think a love that can thrive against distance and separation is a love unlike any other, it’s magical- there’s a gratitude in the togetherness. And in simple moments like sharing a cup of coffee, or actually seeing a movie together (and not timing it just right over Skype). Alex won’t be back in Canada until October, so I felt pretty honoured to be squeezed in during his short visit here. We spent some time down by the lake with the Toronto cityscape in the distance, having some laughs and swapping stories. Folks- can you believe Alex spent time in Okinawa, Japan where I grew up AND they also have good friends from little Traverse City, Michigan. What are the odds?! These two lovebirds have a long, happy road ahead of them- and this is just the beginning. (Wait until you see what ceremony they have planned, but I’m sworn to secrecy until October.) Congratulations on your engagement, Kyle & Alex!
