A little while ago on Twitter I mentioned some exciting news, but I wanted to wait until I had some photos to go with it to announce it on the blog. And what better day than Caturday to mention that I’m now working with Toronto Cat Rescue to provide quality photos of the cats who are looking for their forever homes! Last weekend was a huge adoption weekend, and out of twelve cats in our area, nine were adopted. The only three remaining are Yuki (who was renamed to Zelda at her new foster home due to the triangle on her nose), Anastasia, and Millie. The second cat pictured (all black with her cute tongue sticking out, with the name Pepsi) was adopted! I met a lot of wonderful cats (and some great people too) and I really cannot wait for my next shoot with TCR. HAPPY CATURDAY, FRIENDS!

And those cats are so cute, I hope they’ll find a forever home as soon as possible. Moreover the eyes of the first 2 cats are stunning: I’ve never seen that colour!

19 Feb 2012 at 10:55 pmWhat happy news 🙂 And it’s so great that you’re working with a cat rescue! I’d love to work with the local shelter or a local rescue sometime in my life.
Sara
22 Feb 2012 at 9:26 pmThanks, Jessica! I’m very excited because they are the group that helped us rescue Atlas so I’m really happy to be returning the kindness.

If I lived in Toronto I’d definitely adopt- I have one cat I adopted 2 years ago and I feel like it’s the best thing I’ve done in life 🙂

18 Feb 2012 at 1:39 pmaw…these photos make me want a cat SO badly! Unfortunately, though, my husband and I both have pretty bad cat allergies. 🙁
Sara
22 Feb 2012 at 9:35 pmOh, so sorry to hear that Christina! Allergies can be such a drag! Tom is actually allergic to cats as well (it used to be MUCH worse, and he’s gotten much better over the years) and he SHOULD keep them away from his face when he cuddles but he just can’t stop himself. I will give our boys hugs from you and your husband!

18 Feb 2012 at 1:03 pmKitties! I’m happy for you and happy that you’re helping them being adopted. It’s been proven that it makes a HUGE difference having a professional photographer take the photos for this kind of place. Go Sara!
Sara
22 Feb 2012 at 9:38 pmThank you so much! I read an article a little a while ago about a photographer that did the same at a dog shelter and it made a world of difference, so hopefully we can do that too. =)
